Grilled Big Mac Smash Burger Bowls

Ingredients

Smash Burgers

  • ½ lb lean ground beef or turkey
  • Salt & pepper

Burger Bowls

  • 3 cups shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup diced pickles
  • 2 tbsp diced onion

Special Sauce

  • ¼ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1½ tsp ketchup
  • 1½ tsp pickle juice
  • ½ tsp yellow mustard
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika

Directions

  1. Preheat a flat-top grill, Blackstone, or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Divide meat into 4 loosely packed balls. Do not flatten yet.
  3. Place meat balls onto the hot grill surface and immediately smash thin using a spatula or burger press. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook 2–3 minutes until browned and crispy around the edges. Flip and cook another 1–2 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, mix together Greek yogurt, ketchup, pickle juice, mustard, garlic powder, and paprika until smooth.
  6. Divide lettuce between two bowls. Top with tomatoes, pickles, onions, and smash burger patties.
  7. Drizzle with special sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
