Drug interaction warning: tell the clinician about every medicine you take. Wegovy can raise the risk of low blood sugar when used with insulin or a sulfonylurea. Semaglutide may cause thyroid tumors, including thyroid cancer, based on animal studies. Do not use if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). Report any neck lumps, swelling, hoarseness, or swallowing difficulty immediately.
Stop using Wegovy and get medical help right away if you experience swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; difficulty breathing or swallowing; severe stomach pain that will not go away; a severe rash or itching; fainting or dizziness; or a very rapid heartbeat.
