This dip is spooky good… and a little sneaky healthy.
Taco Layer
- 8 oz 93% lean ground turkey
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning
- 2 tbsp water
Dip Layers
- 1 cup fat-free refried beans
- ¾ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
- ½ cup salsa
- ½ cup reduced-fat shredded Mexican cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup diced tomatoes
Spiderweb
- ¼ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
Spider
- 2 black olives
1. Cook ground turkey in a skillet until browned. Add taco seasoning and water and cook for another 2 minutes. Let cool slightly.
2. Spread refried beans across the bottom of a round serving dish or pie plate.
3. Layer the seasoned turkey over the beans.
4. Spread ¾ cup Greek yogurt over the turkey, followed by salsa and shredded cheese.
5. Add lettuce and tomatoes around the outer portion of the dip, leaving the center visible for your spiderweb.
6. Place the remaining ¼ cup Greek yogurt in a piping bag or zip-top bag and snip off a tiny corner.
7. Pipe several circles of Greek yogurt onto the center of the dip, starting with a small circle and making each one progressively larger.
8. Drag a toothpick from the center outward through the circles several times to create the spiderweb pattern.
9. Make a spider using one whole black olive for the body and pieces of another olive for the legs.
10. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with baked tortilla chips, mini peppers, cucumber slices, or a combination.
